Individual counseling is meant to be a safe place to work on things that are hindering your ability to live, work and relate well in your world. Most of the time these challenges have to do with relationships. My counseling approach focuses on personal relationships because they are critical to our functioning and wellbeing. Good connections develop and strengthen us for doing life well. Difficult connections are painful and can impair and even immobilize us. Relational strain with a family member, friend, partner, spouse, or co-worker often leads to anxiety, depression, or just feeling stuck and confused. Attending to these relationships and helping you improve the quality of your relational life is the main focus of how I work.
